How can I prolong the life my batteries in cold weather?

Cold weather use? Take spare batteries and keep them warm.
Lithium-Ion batteries in cameras are susceptible to being affected by the cold. In very cold temperatures you could find yourself running out of power. It is always a good idea to have at least one spare battery in reserve.
To help maximize your battery's life, carry your camera and your spare battery in an inside pocket to keep them warm until it’s time to start recording. When you swap batteries, put the depleted one in the same pocket and warm it back up. After a while you'll find that it has regained some of its life and is ready to be used again.
